Ffestiniog Railwayis a 1ft 11 + 1/2in (597mm) narrow gauge railway heritage site in County Gwynedd, Wales.Total length approximately 13 + 1 ⁄ 2 miles (21.7 km).From the coastline station of Portmurdoch to Blaenau Ffestiniog, known for its slate mines, you'll travel through a landscape of flowing forests and wet Welsh mountains.

The history of the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway is a long and complex story. the currentThe Ffestiniog Railway Company, which owns the railway, is also the oldest surviving railway company in the world.Since 2011 Ffestiniog Railway Company has also owned the Welsh Highland Railway, now called Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway. The two routes areConnect at Port Murdoch,From Blaenau FfestiniogTerminal of the Welsh Highland RailwayThere are also trains that run the 40 miles (64 km) to Caernarfon.

On Journey into the Past, volunteers will be dressed in Victorian-era clothing. Of course, we made everything ourselves, so it comes with badges and patches from various railway companies. The scenery is the same as before, so it doesn't feel out of place at all.

Although the locomotive has been rebuilt in recent years, it is a steam locomotive that runs on real coal. I was given a ride in the tender and recorded the sound of the train whistle, but the smell of oil and steam seeped into my shoes.

A boy who seemed to be a teenager and was a train fan was being given a ride in the tender. Being able to see the water supply scene from this angle is unique to railway heritage sites.
